Your Personal Affirmation Soundtrack - Rehearse your solution until it becomes a habit

If you’re asking this question you probably already know that 90% of your thoughts and behavior are determined by subconscious conditioning - beliefs and behavior patterns that have become ingrained in your personality. But what if your conditioning is making you repeat a mistake, or turn down opportunities that you consciously yearn for? What if you consciously want something that you subconsciously don’t want? You may already understand the problem, maybe you already know what you want to thin

How can I change the way I think when my thoughts are subconscious?

If you’re asking this question you probably already know that 90% of your thoughts and behavior are determined by subconscious conditioning - beliefs and behavior patterns that have become ingrained in your personality. But what if your conditioning is making you repeat a mistake, or turn down opportunities that you consciously yearn for? What if you consciously want something that you subconsciously don’t want? You may already understand the problem, maybe you already know what you want to think or feel, you may have even talked it through extensively - and yet the same habits keep returning, the same patterns keep playing out, that lead you away from what you want instead of towards it, or towards something you don’t want instead of away from it.

Maybe you’ve tried a few options - focus and discipline, letting go and hoping it comes back to you, depriving yourself, rewarding yourself… but until you talk to your subconscious mind, it’s like you’re drawing the solution instead of actually making it. Talking to your subconscious may not be what you expect - there’s no procedure you can have where you come out the way you want. You subconscious mind learns by repetition. If you want to learn something to the point where you dont need to think about it, like walking, or speaking your home language, or tying your shoes, your subconscious mind needs to repeat that over and over a million times, and then you will have it. That’s why, if you want to change your subconscious thoughts, you need that repetition, you need to hear - or even better HEAR AND SAY - your solution over and over until your subconscious mind is conditioned to do that for you.

How does it feel to have my own Personal Affirmation Soundtrack?

It’s like having a life coach in your pocket - available any time, speaking directly to your subconscious mind and conditioning your behavior. You hear a voice track with your affirmations mixed over hypnotic and nature sounds - a calm, peaceful world that invites you to relax and listen - your affirmations contain all the solutions you need. The effect is a growing sense of trust in yourself: You’ve got this.

Your affirmations are constructed with great care in your sessions, so that each one effects you emotionally when you say it out loud. Whether you choose to speak your affirmations or just listen to them, that emotion is a powerful subconscious language. Within a few days you’ll notice you are more focused and motivated, waking up with more clarity about what you need to do, feeling like the fog is lifting.

Your Personal Affirmation Soundtrack includes:

  • 20-minute professional audio track with your personal affirmations
  • Your voice or Andrew’s voice reading your affirmations
  • Unlimited listens - use daily for 2+ months

How can affirmations rewire my brain and change my behavior?

Your brain’s ability to continue learning throughout your adult life by rehearsing and repeating new knowledge, is called neuroplasticity - “Neurons that fire together wire together,” as neuroscientist Donald Hebb described it. Listening to your affirmation soundtrack lets you mentally rehearse thinking through your solution in your mind, and with repetition, your brain learns to think this way, forming a new subconscious habit.

Your affirmation soundtrack is psychoacoustic - designed for the effect that certain sound frequencies have on brain states. When your brainwaves naturally synchronize with an audio frequency it’s called the frequency following response - or brainwave entrainment. My soundtracks uses a binaural beat at 6Hz to encourage theta state - a brainwave pattern that occurs naturally during deep meditation and just before sleep, where neuroplasticity is heightened and subconscious reprogramming is most effective.

Your brain’s neuroplasticity isn’t constant throughout the day - it peaks in the first and last 30 minutes you’re awake. Listening in the morning sets your RAS (reticular activating system) for the day, directing your brain to look for evidence of what your affirmations describe. Listening at night programs your dreaming process - your subconscious mind queries your affirmations, begins releasing old programming, and prepares for the next day. If you drift off before the track finishes, your subconscious mind continues absorbing. (Alizadeh Asfestani et al., 2021, Nature Communications)

What’s involved in making a Personal Affirmation Soundtrack?

We develop your affirmations in the conversational part of your sessions before hypnosis. I’m always on the lookout for words and phrases that not only describe what you want, but also and very importantly, resonate with you emotionally. Your affirmations can develop over several sessions or if you like we can dedicate a whole session to affirmation writing, although I suggest we record them only when you have a strong emotional resonance with each one. Emotions communicate far more powerfully with your subconscious mind than words. If you’ve already developed your own affirmations that you love and that make you feel amazing, you can skip this step and go strait to recording.

If you’d like your affirmations recorded in your own voice, we use two devices. I coach you during an online session on your laptop, in using a tone for your affirmations that is calm and reassuring, sounding confident that you know your affirmations are true. While in the Doxy.me live session you record your affirmations as a voice note on your phone, while I’m still there to guide you if needed, keeping your tone calm and confident. Most people are surprised by how they sound when they speak that way. You then send me the voice note file and I take it from there. If you’d prefer your affirmations in my voice, I record your affirmations in my own time. Either way, your soundtrack arrives in your inbox the next day.

What makes Andrew’s affirmations effective for actual change?

Most affirmations use direct language patterns: “Every day I make clear, considered decisions that move me forward.” This works for some people, but not everyone receives this kind of direct suggestion subconsciously. Studies in suggestibility reveal that only half of any population responds to this kind of affirmation - for the rest, a more inferential approach is needed, that describes the change emotionally instead of using direct statements: “I feel calm and certain as I trust my instincts and follow what I know feels right.” If the wrong language is used, your subconscious mind simply rejects your affirmations, no matter how many times you repeat them.

The extent to which you require emotional or sensory cues in your affirmations is something I can only discover by listening to you in our sessions, where I suggest an idea for an affirmation using certain wording, you respond, and by your responses I learn your language. So the affirmations we develop are personal to your situation, but they’re also worded personally, in your subconscious language, so that you will receive them subconsciously. This is why generic affirmations feel hollow, and why the same affirmation that transforms one person does nothing for another, but the affirmations that we develop feel different from anything you’ve tried before.
